Stories These are the stories of the bomber racers from the mid 1940s until present day, and what the future could bring as far as the return of the Bomber racers. Though bombers have flown and will continue to fly on the closed course, the larger the aircraft, the more it interferes with the faster, smaller, Warbird and Kit Racers. Therefore, what we propose is that new Classes of Air Racing are established for Cross Country and Transcontinental Air Racing, which are designed to complement Closed-Course events by traveling from event to event. The race starts at one event, culminates with two laps around the Pylons at another, and ends at the finish line. This mixes Transcontinental or Cross-Country Air Racing with a Closed-Course finale. The race then becomes one of pilot and/or crew skill, endurance, distance, speed and a nostalgic salute to the Golden Age of Air Racing at the finish. Here, we discuss the history and stories of bomber racing from the mid-1940s until present. At Bomber Racing.Net, we present photo galleries of bombers, racers and candidates to the public. At Bomber Racing.Org, we will establish a membership for Team Owners, Pilots, Crews and Fans alike, who want to consider entering themselves and their aircraft in future competitions.
